Utility

Vigor Utility is a billing and customer information system for distribution utilities (hot water, cold water, electricity, gas, etc.). The system has been developed in Iceland using state-of-the-art software design technology in cooperation with Reykjavik Energy www.or.is and the
West Fjords Power Company www.ov.is.

Vigor Utility is designed to enable distribution utilities to keep ahead of changes in their operating environment, such as new competition, introduction of new technology and the like. The Internet is used for data communication and to meet demands for enhanced customer services.

Vigor Utility is an integrated suite meeting distribution utilities requirements for data security, operational overview, system efficiency and flexibility. Vigor Utility is a client/server system based on the Universal DB2 UDB for iSeries database from IBM and uses Windows clients and IBM iSeries as a server. The system is designed and written using Atvantage:Plex development tools from Computer Associates International Inc.
