TM Software has deployed a new mobile website for the airline Icelandair. Icelandair‘s customers can now use their mobile to view flight status, check-in to their flight and view information on contacts in particular countries.
The mobile web replicates particular information from the Icelandair website. It increases the airline’s service even more as Icelandair’s passengers can now view flight delays, check-in and select a seat using their mobile. TM Software’s specialists set up the new website in the content management system VYRE, which all Icelandair’s websites have been build in. It was confirmed that the website’s design works perfectly for all new phones such as the iPhone.
Check-in using your mobile
Icelandair’s customers can now exploit this service and check-in by using their mobile as long as they are able to connect to the Internet. With the mobile check-in it is possible to check-in wherever and whenever (22 hours prior to the scheduled flight). The boarding pass is printed at a self-service kiosk at the airport or at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica hotel. Passengers travelling with luggage need to check-it in at a self-service check-in kiosk at the airport and print out the luggage tag. After the self-service check-in the bags are handed over at the Fast Bag Drop-off belt. Passenger travelling only with carry-on luggage can go straight to the security gate.
The mobile website has been set up in English and Icelandic and at particular Icelandair’s destinations. Among mobile websites are http://m.icelandair.is, http://m.icelandair.co.uk and http://m.icelandair.com yet it is expected that this service will be added at more destinations.
