TM Software and Microsoft support the disaster relief in Myanmar with a SharePoint solution
In the beginning of May when Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar the Microsoft Corporation asked TM Software, as well as several other Microsoft Partners, to support the disaster relief by building a SharePoint solution for the United Nations. The SharePoint website shall keep all data and information exchange at the disaster areas where dozens of charity organisations are working on assisting the affected people where it is extremely necessary that all information are available at a dynamic communication platform.

A new website, www.vitaferdir.is
In the beginning of August the website www.vitaferdir.is was launched by the new Icelandic travel agency VITA the same day as the agency started its operation. The website was set up in the content management system VYRE by TM Software’s employees.

This summer, a yearly customer satisfaction survey was conducted among customers of TM Software in Iceland. The survey was conducted in cooperation with the business consulting company, ParX , which handled the process and analysing.

TM Software signs a contract with the municipality Seltjarnarnes
The municipality Seltjarnarnes and TM Software have signed a contract on infrastructure management and the operation of the town‘s computer systems, finance and user services. The contract includes all daily operation of the computers where TM Software’s technicians will handle maintenance and operation of the town’s computers with onside service as well as 24/7 service of TM Software’s Customer Centre. After tendering of the town earlier this year TM Software was awarded the contract.

Two new expertise certifications
Recently, two TM Software specialists, Finnur Örn Guðmundsson and Sigurður Björnsson, received their RHCA-certification. Only 120 professionals all over the world have had the honour of receiving that certification.

Atorka Group opens a new website
Recently, the investment company, Atorka Group, opened a news website, www.atorka.is. TM Software‘s specialists developed the website in the Content Management System WebMaster. On the new website customers can easily find all information on the company along with market information. The website is user-friendly and ensures easy access to all information.

Recently, TM Software and ContentXXL International held a joint introduction and user conference at TM Software headquarters at Urðarhvarf in Kópavogur. The day was very successful. TM Software is the exclusive sales partner for the ContentXXL system in Iceland.

Awards for the best solution
TM Software Programming Contest 2008 was recently held among university students. The Programming Contest is a web-contest where participants have about a week to program a solution and hand it in. This year the contest was rather difficult and of the 42 students who signed up to compete only 12 handed in a solution.

Service contract with Iceland Prime Contractor (ÍAV)
Roughly a year ago TM Software and Iceland Prime Contractor (ÍAV) signed a service contract on user service and the operation and improvements of the computer systems at Iceland Prime Contractor. Earlier this year TM Software sold a part of its Healthcare unit. This being the Theriak products along with the Theriak name. The new owners of Theriak are Bru II Venture Capital Fund S.C.A. SICAR and CIS-Healthcare from Britain.

Competition Authority approves merger of Nýherji hf. and TM Software hf.
The Competition Authority has approved the merger of Nýherji hf. and TM Software hf. An agreement regarding Nýherji's acquisition of all TM Software shares was finalised on 25 January 2008 with the approval of the Authority. The objective of this purchase is to strengthen the Nýherji Group's position in operating services and in hosting and developing specialist corporate software solutions. TM Software is the parent company of Skyggnir, Origo, Vigor, eMR and ITP.

Online check-in from home at Icelandair
TM Software has developed a check-in system for the airline Icelandair enabling passengers to check-in online for all flights from Iceland. The check-in system was formerly opened on the 8th of March and passenger can now simply visit www.icelandair.is and check-in to their flights 22 hours prior to their flight.

Iceland Post opens a new website, www.postur.is
On the 10th anniversary of Iceland Post the company opened its new website, www.postur.is. The website was developed by TM Software‘s specialists in the content management system ContentXXL. The directors of Iceland Post became interested in the system at a TM Software-ContentXXL conference and picked TM Software’s service and the content management system ContentXXL after a pre-selection of various systems.

Nýherji acquires 79% of TM Software
Nýherji has acquired Straumur’s 59.4% share of TM Software and additionally guaranteed itself the shares of FL Group and Tryggingamiðstöðin. Nyherji is one of Iceland's leading service providers in the field of information technology. After the acquisition, Nýherji’s share in TM Software will in total be 77.9%. The share’s purchase price was 1,096 million ISK.
